Welcome to my new updated website! I am always looking at new techniques in post production and love learning about all aspects of it as well as the Apple hardware they run on. I use Final Cut Studio on my MacBook Pro, which has been through the wars recently, so I have gotten into some self-repair on it.

There are loads of sites on the Internet that cover editing in all its forms, so I will post items and links here that I come across you may find useful. Also, any workarounds to problems I have been having with my notebook I’ll post too, as it might save someone hours of trawling through the web looking for an answer, like I had to do!

I am also a travel and culture writer her in Thailand, and regularly get sent on assignments around the south of Thailand to write about my experiences for a local magazine here in Krabi. I post these reports in my Travel Blog section to share my thoughts for anyone thinking of coming to this part of the world.
A short clip I filmed for Projects Abroad whilst I was volunteering with their marine conservation project based in Ao Nang, Thailand. Discarded fishing nets are a constant issue as they invariable end up tangled on the coral reef, choking the coral and killing marine life. We regularly dive these sites armed with lift bags, scissors and gloves in order to remove these nets. A very satisfying day’s work!

Check out more of the work Projects Abroad does at their website at www.projects-abroad.net

I was staying in Anilao, waiting to start work on board a liveaboard vessel for a month, and had the opportunity to explore the house reef there. The water was amazingly clear, but cold! It was a macro-lovers dream there with all sorts of tiny critters to find.
I have never seen nudibranchs gather together like this before or since then, and was pleased I got this shot after a few tries.

Using my compact camera, I reduced the exposure way down to it’s lowest setting and used the onboard flash only whilst shooting in the cameras macro mode. This enabled me to use the lowest ISO setting for less noise in the photo, as well as darkening the background.
